Travel Without Digital Camera?
This must be the most unthinkable thought when it comes to traveling, but, looking at how the mobile technology evolved, it may be possible in a few years time. If you have noticed, all the latest range of cell phones model already comes with the standard functionality of having a high resolution megapixel built-in camera, and the picture being taken with it is comparable to one taken with a digital camera.
There are several advantages when it comes to carrying a mobile phone over a digital camera when you are traveling. For one, it is definitely lighter to carry a cell phones than a digital camera. Again, when it comes to taking a quick snapshots, it is much more easier to use a cell phone camera rather than a digital camera. Think of the steps that you need to do with a digital camera, you need to take it out from your bag, remove the casing, switch it on, wait for a few seconds before you can use it. By the times you are ready, the scene or subject might be different.
Then again, most of us won’t forget to carry our cell phones with us as it is already part of our habit to check that we carried it when we travel, but, not necessary the digital camera.
Of course, it is still a long way to go for cell phone camera to replace the digital camera because it’s storage capacity simply can’t rival that of a digital camera. It will be interesting to see if there will be vast improvement in the mobile technology to take it there.
Will Sony Ericsson Phone gives us something to cheer about, and save us the hassle to carry the much bigger digital camera when we travel? Only times will tell.
